Jason and Vikki are the proud owners of the Hockley Valley Farm in Mono. They are located across from the Hockley Valley Resort, another jewel in Dufferin County. With over 90 acres they offer a wide variety, types and sizes of evergreen trees for those who enjoy selecting and cutting their own tree. They also offer pre-cut trees, complimentary bailing and loading.

When Wanda and I first arrived, we were immediately attracted to the Percheron draft horses. They were extremely friendly and enjoyed being petted. Syndey was intimidated by them and wanted to keep her distance. Horse drawn wagon rides are part of the experience at Hockley Valley Farm.

Located east of the parking lot is the Christmas Store which is a 120 year old restored barn. Inside are handmade crafts and décor merchandise. Vikki offered hot chocolate which families can enjoy while staying warm by an open fire.

The farm opened on November 25th and will be closing on December 23rd. On weekends the hours of operation run from 9:00 am until dusk. During the week, they are open from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. They only accept cash. Jason and Vikki do recommend that you come dressed for the weather because all of the activities are in the out-of–doors. Dogs are welcome but need to be on a leash at all times out of respect to other animals and visitors.
