There is plenty to do around Orangeville in the month of November. From parades to shopping to entertainment, there is something for everyone. Below is just a few of the events you and family can enjoy in our community.
Up first is the Moonlight Magic and Tractor Parade of Lights on Friday, November 15th. Bring the family out to enjoy the reading of Twas the Night Before Christmas by David Nairn’s as well as dance performances located at the Town Hall. The tree lighting ceremony begins at 6:30pm. Parade is scheduled to begin at 8pm.
Bring along some hot chocolate and a cozy blanket to enjoy the Santa Claus Parade on Saturday, November 16th. The parade starts at 4:30pm at the corner of Hansen Boulevard and First Street. This year’s theme is “Orange You Glad it’s Christmas”. Click here to see this year’s parade route.
Still have some Christmas shopping to do? Well, it looks like Saturday, November 23rd is the day to get your shopping done at two local events. Check out Orangeville & District Seniors Centre Christmas Bazaar between 9am-1pm to find baked goods, books, jewelry, craft sale as well as you can participate in a silent auction. Another place to grab those Christmas gifts is the Orangeville Christmas Market located at the Orangeville Fairgounds from 10am-3pm. There will be 125 vendors, activities for the kids and you may even get to see the big man in the red suit himself. Admission is free but a donation of a non-perishable item for the Orangeville Food Bank would be greatly appreciated.
On November 16th is the Victorian Christmas Gala Fundraiser located at Best Western Plus Inn & Suites. From 5:30pm-10pm, you can enjoy fine food, entertainment, live and silent auctions as well as draws for jewelry and hockey tickets. Tickets to the event are available by visiting Theatre Orangeville’s website.
Theatre Orangeville presents Little Women. This musical adaption of Louisa May Alcott’s novel will be on November 28-December 22. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit Theatre Orangeville.
